When I designed and made this piece, my beautiful Mom was healing from 2 surgeries, and I was home for a few months before I went back to Nevada, to help her through an Angiogram to find out why her legs were still hurting.
Who knew that when I arrived in Las Vegas to care for her, that she was to face a life-threatening surgery – and would then suffer a horrendous fall, resulting in traumatic brain bleed and a broken hip?
She has worn this piece every day the past two years, and continues to mend her body and spirit through the love of her family and friends. I’m happy that this piece gave her hope, comfort and joy in her healing journey.
This piece was also marks what would become the beginning of the Turquoise Trail Collection with Nevada Blue Moon Turquoise.
The Meaning Behind The Piece.
Opal: The opal is said to be many things including the most powerful of healing stones, the stone of hope, the stone of great achievement and even the “stone of the Gods”. (It also symbolizes the beautiful Full Moon we saw as I was pulled over for the first time in Tonapah, NV for speeding – with my Mom in the car. OMG! The kind officer let me off… I told him I was looking at the moon.)
Turquoise: Strengthens whole body, promotes absorption of nutrients, tissue regeneration and circulation. Protects from harmful environmental pollutants and poisons. Saves the wearer from problems on a journey or adventure. Destroys hatred and increases love.
White Topaz: Topaz is one of the twelve breastplate stones of the High Priest referred to in the Book of Exodus. The breastplate stones are considered sacred to twelve mighty angels who guard the gates to Paradise. Topaz is a soothing, empathetic stone that will direct energy to the place it is most needed. It heals and energizes. Topaz is also a promoter of truth and forgiveness.

Dancing The Dream
Where are the dances of Oneness,
That I knew before my birth?
Did I surrender the wholeness
In order to walk the earth?
Did I choose forgetting
In order to make life real?
Did I inhabit the human body
So I could learn how to feel?
I am here to dance the dream
In my sacred human form.
To celebrate my uniqueness
And ask no other to conform.
Dancing through life’s lessons,
I will learn to move with grace,
While I dream of remembering
The potential of the human race.
