After The Gold Rush was inspired by a trip to Montana in 2015. In the 1800's gold miners sought their fortunes in the Montana hills. Over 100 years later, there are still remnants of the tailings created by the dredges unclaimed by Mother Nature especially around Virginia City and Nevada City. It serves as a reminder that while folks struggled to make a living back then, that it also leaves years of visible scars on our planet.
Montana agate is found in the Yellowstone River.
